"It just empowers everybody within the team to say, I can make a difference. I'm not just doing what I'm told. I can actually make a change to how we're operating as a business."
Chantal Organics is committed to protecting the planet and nourishing people. Their goal is to bring more organic food to New Zealanders that is affordable, tastes good and is healthy.
Like every business right now, they are under pressure from the economy to find better ways of working. Sam wanted the team making the work easier, not faster and harder, and he wanted change to come from the whole team, not just supervisors and managers.
The team spends about three hours a month in sessions with us, so it takes very little time out of the working week. Their homework is a real improvement project in day-to-day work, so the learning goes straight back onto the floor.
We helped them set up short, structured toolbox meetings with a clear agenda, and visual boards showing planned versus actual, cost of goods and ideas for improvement, using numbers that mean something to the people doing the work.
Tell us about it. One conversation, no charge, and we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit.
